CDN bandwidth is usually priced per GB and differs by region. Enter each region’s traffic and price; the calculator adds request charges and shows your blended price per GB.

Also called: CDN pricing calculator.

## Inputs
- Region 1 traffic (unit GB; default 10000)
- Region 1 price per GB (default 0.085)
- Region 2 traffic (unit GB; default 5000; optional)
- Region 2 price per GB (default 0.11; optional)
- Region 3 traffic (unit GB; default ; optional)
- Region 3 price per GB (default ; optional)
- Region 4 traffic (unit GB; default ; optional)
- Region 4 price per GB (default ; optional)
- HTTP requests per month (unit million; default 100; optional)
- Price per 10,000 requests (default 0.0075; optional)
- Currency

## Results
- Monthly CDN bill
- Bandwidth charges
- Request charges
- Total traffic
- Total traffic
- Blended bandwidth price per GB

## Formula

```
Bandwidth = Σ (Region GB × Region price);  Requests = Requests ÷ 10,000 × Price;  Blended = Bandwidth ÷ Total GB
```

Where:
- Region GB: traffic served from that price region
- Region price: your price per GB there

## Worked example
1. Region 1: 10,000 × 0.085 = 850; region 2: 5,000 × 0.11 = 550; bandwidth 1,400.
2. Requests: 100,000,000 ÷ 10,000 = 10,000 × 0.0075 = 75.
3. Bill: 1,400 + 75 = 1,475; blended 1,400 ÷ 15,000 = 0.0933 per GB.

**Result:** At these example prices, 15,000 GB across two regions plus 100 million requests costs about 1,475 a month.

## What the result means

The blended price per GB is the number to compare between CDNs and committed-use offers, because it reflects your actual traffic mix rather than a headline rate.

## Assumptions and limits
- Each region’s price is flat for the whole volume; enter an average if your provider uses volume tiers.
- Origin fetch (cache-fill) charges, TLS certificates, edge compute and minimum commitments are not included.

## Questions

### Is 1 TB 1,000 GB or 1,024 GB?

CDNs normally bill in decimal units, so 1 TB = 1,000 GB. This calculator uses decimal units throughout.

### Why is my request charge so high?

Sites serving many small files (icons, API calls, video segments) can pay more for requests than for bandwidth. Bundling and longer cache lifetimes help.
