Accuracy and score answer different questions: accuracy is right answers out of those you attempted; score is right answers out of all questions.

Also called: Quiz score calculator, Accuracy percentage calculator.

## Inputs
- Correct answers (default 18)
- Wrong answers (default 4)
- Skipped questions (default 3; optional)

## Results
- Accuracy
- Score
- Attempt rate
- Error rate
- Total questions

## Formula

```
Accuracy = Correct ÷ (Correct + Wrong) × 100;  Score = Correct ÷ Total × 100;  Attempt rate = (Correct + Wrong) ÷ Total × 100
```

Where:
- Total: correct + wrong + skipped

## Worked example
1. Attempted = 18 + 4 = 22 of 25 questions (88%).
2. Accuracy = 18 ÷ 22 = 81.82%.
3. Score = 18 ÷ 25 = 72%.

**Result:** 18 right, 4 wrong and 3 skipped is 81.82% accuracy but a 72% score.

## What the result means

High accuracy with a low attempt rate means you know what you answer but are running out of time or confidence; low accuracy means slow down or revise.

## Assumptions and limits
- Every question carries the same weight.
- For exams that deduct marks for wrong answers, use the negative marking calculator.

## Questions

### Is accuracy the same as score?

Only if you attempt every question. Skipped questions lower the score but not accuracy.

### What is a good accuracy?

It depends on the test, but under negative marking you want accuracy well above the break-even level for the scheme.
